Dr. Emily Kappenman is an IU alumnus, having graduated in 2005 with a B.S. in Psychology. During her time at IU, she also worked as an undergraduate research assistant under mentorship of Dr. Hetrick and Dr. John Kruschke. Dr. Kappenman is currently an Assistant Professor in the Psychology department at San Diego State Unviersity. Dr. Kappenman's research is focused on understanding cognition and emotion in typical adults and in populations with psychiatric disorders using cognitive neuroscience techniques such as EEG and event-related potentials (ERPs). Dr. Kappenman is also interested in the development and dissemintaion of EEG and ERP methods.
